Setting up AgentAlarm takes a few minutes. If an alarm didn’t ring, the checklist below covers every cause we know of.
Set up
- Install AgentAlarm on an iPhone with iOS 26.1 or later.
- Open it and allow Alarms and Notifications. Both are needed.
- Install AgentAlarm on the computer your agent runs on. The setup page covers each agent.
- In the app, tap Connect an agent and give the one-time code to your agent.
- Ask your agent to ring a test alarm. Your iPhone should ring within seconds.
An alarm didn’t ring
Open AgentAlarm first: history shows every alarm that arrived and, if something went wrong, why. Then check:
- Permissions. If Alarms or Notifications was turned off, the app shows a warning at the top. Tap it to fix.
- Focus filters. A Focus with the AgentAlarm filter set to Notification or Silent turns alarms into quiet notifications on purpose.
- The phone was offline. Alarms ring when the phone reconnects, up to an hour late. Older ones show as missed.
- Connection. After reinstalling the app or restoring your iPhone, connect your agent again.
- Your agent’s computer. Each alarm is sent from the computer your agent runs on, so it has to be on and online when the alarm is due.
Stop alarms during sleep
Alarms ring through every Focus by default. In iOS Settings, open Focus, choose Sleep, then Add Filter and pick AgentAlarm. Choose Silent to keep alarms in Notification Center, or Notification for a normal notification.
